So, I would love to share more about my adventures in trying out some awesome Chinese medicine that has worked wonders for me in hopes you'll give some of what I have tried out a shot, too!
First off, the infrared sauna! It's this contraction that you pull up over your body and it heats up to an ungodly temp with an infrared light that is, oddly enough, not even lit up. Your heart starts pounding and it's pretty intense. I go for a half hour which is the full time.
CHECK OUT THE HEALTH BENEFITS I found on the roots and legends in Racine's website:
Infrared Sauna Health Benefits
- Detoxification Far Infrared heat causes a rise in core temperature resulting in a deap, detoxifying sweat at the cellular level, where toxins reside.
- Relaxation Infrared is a gentle, soothing and therapeutic heat that promotes relaxation and improved sleep.
- Lower Blood Pressure Scientific evidence shows that using an infrared sauna lowers blood pressure.
- Weight Loss A session can burn upwards of 600 calories while you relax! It will increase your metabolic rate.
- Pain Relief Infrared heat penetrates tissue for muscle aches and pains and conditions like fibromyalgia.
- Wound Healing Far infrared greatly enhances the skin's healing.
- Improves Circulation The body's blood flow is increased to twice the normal rate.
- Has Anti-Aging and Skin Purification QualitiesSometmes referred to as "red light therapy," the light stimulates collagen production to reduce wrinkes and improve skin tone.
- Promotes Cell Health The body's toxins move to the surface and the immune system is strengthened.
Infrared saunas are an effective tool for natural healing and prevention. If you want to get yourself back into balance, an infrared sauna may be the ticket to achieving your wellness goals:
GOOGLE THEM and research Chinese Medicine places near you!
Insurance in some rare cases may cover the sauna. The place I go will run your insurance for the full amount and if they don't cover it, they charge me 15$. Well worth the money for all the benefits you get! Just make sure you drink tons of water before going (like, TONS) and bring more water for during and after because the amount you sweat is out of this world. I also would reccomend making sure you ate something that day, too.
Hope you try it out!
All my love,
Kate
