An afternoon walk around London and a few of my favorite things

Our beautiful room at the Dorsett Hotel in Shepards Bush. I loved those huge windows and the white interior. We found this hotel off the Hotels Tonight app for a GREAT deal and loved it just as much as the hotel that we stayed at the night before which was also found on Hotels Tonight. (You can check out the last hotel in the post HERE.)
Use my code kcasey68 for 25$ off your first booking using the hotels tonight app. That app has never let us down yet. There are so many honest reviews of the hotels listed and wonderful photos and info on the areas so you know you won't get stuck somewhere you don't want to be.

The incredible houses in Notting Hill neighborhood. I loved walking around and just getting lost, seeing what we found along the way.

We stumbled upon the famous Portobello Market! I have never even heard of it before but we found out it is actually one of the most famous street markets in the world. After walking thru the Notting Hill area, we noticed that there was large groups of people coming and going down a particular corner. We were curious of course and found the outdoor market that went on for blocks and blocks. It was filled with vendors selling antiques and teacups, among many other trinkets and goodies.
We found a cafe for lunch on a busy corner and sat next to the window to watch all the business outside as we ate. Of course I ordered a cup of mint tea with almond milk as I always did whenever possible as well as a big salad. While traveling and options for healthy eating can sometimes be more limited if your hotel is not near a supermarket, I have found it best to order a salad unless a place has something that I am dieing to eat so that I won't feel guilty ordering something I wouldn't normally get if later in the day that situation arises!
