After spending a few days in London, we were ready for some R&R away from the busy city. We decided to find an air bnb in the countryside for a few nights before flying home. We ended up in Williamscot about an hour from London. It was all so quaint and quiet and smaller than any village I have ever seen before.
My favorite memory was probably the time we spent walking together for hours in the fields of yellow flowers and farm animals. There was a public walking path which was created thru the farm fields across the road. The name "public walking path" is deceiving though since it was really just open farm fields the public was allowed to cross. The "path" was marked by a tiny circle marking on gates across the field. At one point we had to walk straight thru a pasture filled with grazing sheep and cows who looked at us inquisitively the whole time we hurried thru. Later on the same walk, we stumbled upon a church that was 1000 years old and left open to explore inside. Overall, our time was incredible in the countryside and a good time to catch up on sleep and sanity before heading back to Florida.
