In October my mom and I had the best girls trip ever. My aunt lives in Carlsbad near the ocean and I was able to meet my mom there for a few nights while she spent the week cat sitting. This trip has got to be my favorite memory ever with my momma. Just her and I in California. She has been there many times before so she was able to show me all around.
So many moments I cherish from this trip.
All the time walking in the morning along the ocean and watching the sunset over the water from the balcony. Making healthy meals and eating them at the table out back. The cafe and cute little stores downtown. Getting all cozy at night and watching shows together. Renting a surf board our last evening and watching the beautiful sunset that followed. The afternoon we spent shopping at the pretty outdoor mall and got our (completely life changing) Asics. You falling asleep before me arriving. The walk we took the last morning thru the park before getting ready to head to the airport. Saying goodbye to you as you got on the plane at the airport and missing you so much it hurt.
I love you with all my heart, momma!
I am so proud of you. You are such an inspiration to me and I love how you are traveling now so often and how healthy you are. I love how kind you are to everyone and how you make friends in the most random places. Everyone loves you because you have the most humble spirit. You are so incredibly hardworking. I adore you and I am so happy we were able to share this special mother and daughter trip.
